The management of SC Group understand the importance of education in the development of the sector, and willingly cooperate with Latvian educational establishments in order to improve the qualification of its workforce and attract new professionals.

Under the initiative of “Saldus ceļinieks” LTD and in cooperation with Saldus Professional Secondary School there was started a new study program “Operator of road construction machinery” for elementary school graduates.

Every year SC Group invites more than ten new road constructors from Saldus Professional Secondary School and Riga Technical University to take their study practice in the company. After graduation around ten new specialists continue working for SC Group.

In cooperation with “JCI Latvia”, SC Group has organized several Career Days in secondary schools of Saldus District.

Today in cooperation with Saldus Professional Secondary School we are implementing one more project that might be supported by the European Union the “Increase of Professional Orientation and Availability of Career Education for Youth Studying in Professional Secondary Schools”. If the project is implemented, SC Group will organize excursions to its companies, and students will be able to meet and talk to road construction experts. The expected implementation of this project is 2009-2010. 

In order to improve the qualification of existing experts of SC Group, we have established cooperation with Riga Technical University, which offers various in-service training seminars for our experts.
